finally getting around to posting these sneak peeks of our newest custom toy! This is a Jamungo BUD 9″ DIY toy… with eyeskull flava:

so, here you can see the progression of painting and not really see the creation of the jacket… which rules by the way. That’s real Velcro there people, the stuff that NASA invented! WOW!

if we can find some tiny Metallica and Slayer patches, they are going on that coat. Pre black album Metallica of course.

eyeskull custom Qee!

Comments Off | This entry was posted on Sep 15 2009

here are some photos of our custom Qee for the upcoming “We Ain’t Plastic” show at the Public – opening on October 2nd. Instead of simply creating a design on the surface of the toy, or adding modeling clay to create new parts, we custom made a little zipper hoody. This was our first time sewing a tiny hoody, so it’s a little sketchy, but it works. We also decided to use both sides of the head for eyeskull and ms.eyeskull. We think it works pretty well.

eyeskull front and back, staged with mini-stickers, and ms.eyeskull side of the head. Yes those mini-stickers are real, printed out at a half an inch square. Cut out 320 of those suckers. Here is a photo showing the mini-stickers in relation to a regular 2.75 inch square sticker:

art show Nov 6

Attn: we have been invited to show work at Screen Ink this fall! This is a great opportunity to show recent work, and a great motivator to make even more new art!

For those who don’t know – Screen Ink is an awesome local screenprinter, and they are very supportive of the art scene. They invite artists to show work in the front room of their space, which doubles as a storefront gallery. They also hosted the Freestyle 50 skateboard show we did back in June.

The details are yet to come, but the opening will be on Friday November 6. Chances are good we’ll have some good tunes playing, some refreshments, and live screenprinting… Stay tuned for more information.
